What goes around comes around is how the number 8 makes me feel. As we move into December and the approaching festive season we are reminded of the repetitive cycles through the year. However, with its rounded shape the number 8 can be a little unstable, a reminder of how fragile life can be.
For those who look forward to this time of year it is a time to come together and cement relationships. But for some it can be a sad reminder of loved ones who are no longer with us. It also brings a reason for people to be daft with their money and lavish, possibly unnecessary, presents on friends and loved ones. Not everything is dependent on material gifts. Consider your motives when buying, are you merely buying to receive? Or buying because you have received?
Love and time are what most people need, and life can move forward without fancy gifts. Even children who love this magical time and opening presents thrive more on the love and time that grown-ups can give.
