According to its owner the well known paranormal investigator and historian Richard Felix, Derby Gaol is one of the most haunted locations in England. When ‘Most Haunted’ TV Show filmed there, a wooden cross that was used as trigger object on a piece of paper was moved when it was placed in one of the haunted cells. Visitors are left in no doubt as to the ghostly happenings within its walls with unearthly sounds being heard, apparitions seen and mysterious lights flickering on and off to name just a few.
